We recently purchased this ’56 Chevy from the son of the previous owner who had owned it for the past several decades. The “time capsule” custom upholstery was added in the ’80’s (matching couch and heart shaped love seat not included!) It’s powered by a later model small block V8 engine with an automatic TH350 transmission. The body is straight and solid and the paint is in good condition. This timeless classic runs and drives but we wouldn’t recommend a road trip without a little effort and some TLC. This ’56 Chevy could be considered “fresh out of storage and ready for restoration” or you could take it on as a small “tinker and drive” project.The obvious question will be “what’s the car need?” The simple answer to that would be “it all depends on your expectations.”
